    Plush, but no stability

    If i was rating this shoe on how soft the midsole was underfoot - 10/10. It also fits my narrow foot exceedingly well, and the slick lace system really does wrap around your foot quite well once you get the hang of it. Unfortunately i needed something with more stability around the heel and midfoot as ive been prone to rolling my ankles in the past. I was suprised at just how soft the upper is in this shoe - seriously, its like wearing a lightweight road racer. You can pinch your thumb and forefinger around the back of the heel and squeeze it in. Suffice to say if you need some lateral stability in a trail shoe, this will not be the show for you. But if you are a neutral runner and need a high level of cushioning and have a narrow foot - this will be right down your alley. I only hope i can find something which gives me more stability.

    Salomon S/Lab Ultra - When comfort, purpose and style is your must…..

    Used these beauty’s in my first Ultra distance run UTA50. Great fit straight out of the box, had all the grip needed and more, great feel of surface under foot, and the bonus was the comfort (like running in your favorite comfy slippers) from start right through to the finish line. I would highly recommend these shoes.
