Almost a great pack with fatal design problems

Over all its a nice pack. It packs nicely and fits comfotably. I took this pack on a 4 day run/hike, the volume is good enough for food and sleeping bag. No tent and cooking off a fire. Major faults: - if the main compartment is full, putting a 2L salomon water bladder in the bladder pouch causes the back to bulge in an extremely uncomfortable way. It's like the back becomes suddenly becomes the bladder, and all the force of a run is forced through the bladder. I solved this by cutting a slit into the main compartment for the bladder hanger and for the bladder hose to come out. Then moving the bladder inside the main compartment. - There is a strap which connects the shoulder straps to the main compartment so that it doesn't fall open exposing the water bladder. This slips when running, causing the pack to loosen and bounce around. I solved this by tying a knot in the webbing so that it can't slip. - The pack comes with waist straps. These are one inch webbing and are very abrasive, lacking padding. They are needed for heavy loads but are abrasive when running. I cut up an old yoga mat to formpadding on the straps. The vests made by salomon have amazing storage on the front. It is extremely limited with this pack. Why couldn't the waist belt have pockets sewn in (I plan to make that modification), The straps on the front have limited pockets and space. I plan to add more pockets. - Pole storage is problematic Why these problems exist I have no idea, but they are deal breakers for this pack. I will be looking for a better pack soon. But unfortunately this one is now damaged due to my mods.
