What does women-specific really mean? For us, it’s a shoe that is fully adapted to the morphology of your feet: a softer cuff, cradling anatomical design and lower density ADV-C Chassis for greater stability. In this mid-cut GORE-TEX version of the X-ULTRA 4, all this is backed up by waterproof protection and a grippy outsole that powers through uphills and descents, so you can explore every angle of your freedom.

    Strange sizing

    Last pair of Salomon Boots were a size 9, this pair also a size 9 bit way bigger. Had to send back…

    I recommend this product

    Great hiking boot for over pronators

    I selected this boot after my physiotherapist suggested researching for a boot more supportive of my foot arches. It does this really well and is very comfortable. It’s helped alleviate weight-bearing pain due to early mid-foot osteoarthritis and i can continue to endure longer distances. My only complaint is the colour options (I’m not a fan of the powder blue option available during the season I purchased). But functionally top notch.

    I recommend this product

    Great lightweight boot

    I’ve been on a couple of short walks (5km) in my new boots - thus far very comfortable. What attracted me to this boot was initially the wide fit, and great comfort when trying on, and I love how light they are to walk in.

    Good walking boot

    I have enjoyed wearing my Solomon boot in a 7 day walking tour, where the track was a mix of sand, grasses & lots of rock climbing along beaches & up Mt Strezleki. I went for ½ size up to give room for toes. The pale Greg colour tho is now looking very dirty.

    Absolutely Brilliant

    I’ve had a number of Salomon hiking shoes. But these have been my best. I went on a 12km hike the first day I bought them. Super light and comfortable .. Excellent ankle support. I’m training for Kokoda and these will be what I take ..

    2. Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
    3. Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
    4. Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
    5. Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.
