Good boot at the moment as there new

I only started wearing them so I don’t know if they will last, my last set didn’t last long at all…they started to give way in the creases. Sadly, they started to take water through the Gortex After reading the reviews I am giving this boot model another chance, hopefully I won’t be dissatisfied as there is many options of good footwear for this price

Good hiking shoes very comfortable and feels secure

Excellent straight-out-of-the-box boot!

I recently purchased my X ULTRA 4 MID GTXs (as a lighter alternative to my full-length GTX ELEMENTS) just a few days before hiking up to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in December 2023. I would not normally take such a massive risk buying new boots without the proper time to break them in but these proved brilliant straight out of the box. I wore them for 3 weeks straight as both my hiking and casual shoes for the trip and experienced zero hot spots or rubbing the entire time. No blisters and no chaffing. The tread was perfect for sand, rock, and scree trails and still provided a lot of protection against bruising from jagged edges underfoot. These are very light boots and breathe well. I wore an 8.5 and I feel the size is true, which also offered a little extra wiggle room as the boots began to break in. Just apply a little liquid or spray water protector to avoid getting your feet wet through the breathable sides in case you step into the odd puddle. Excellent boots overall and I highly recommend them.

Really comfy and sturdy feeling boot to replace my other pair of Salomon’s. I’m sure they’ll be perfect for my next hike. Good sale price and prompt pack, send and delivery process.

Good shoes, sizing a bit off

I bought these shoes for hiking the W Trek in Torres del Paine, however I won't be taking them with me. I wore them in over numerous short hikes and they were feeling quite comfortable after breaking in, but after doing a 16km practice hike in Sydney I found the shoes made my toes very sore. I am normally a size 44 in most brands and bought the 44 2/3 size, but it seems that wasn't enough.
