Disappointing Comfort for a Premium Price

I recently purchased these hiking shoes, which come with a steep price tag of $240. Expecting top-notch performance and comfort for this investment, I was eager to test them out on a two-hour hike in Blue Mountains. However, the experience was less than satisfactory, particularly in terms of comfort. One major issue was the lack of cushioning. The shoes felt almost like minimalist shoes, providing very minimal separation from the ground, as if there was hardly any cushion at all. This could be due to an overly hard outer sole, which contributed to a very uncomfortable hike. By the end of my trek, my feet were extremely tired and sore, which was a letdown considering the price and expectations set by the brand. On a positive note, the shoes performed decently in terms of water resistance. They are not completely waterproof, but they managed to keep my feet relatively dry when stepping in puddles, which is a plus. Overall, for the high price of $240, the shoes did not live up to the expectations of comfort and support that one would anticipate from a premium hiking shoe. Therefore, I can only give them a 2-star rating. They might be suitable for someone looking for minimalistic, firm shoes, but if you're looking for cushion and comfort, these might not be the right choice.

Great shoes.

Comfortability has been great however the front upper of my left shoe has come apart after four wears. I believe they should be sturdier than this considering they are trail shoes and have a decent price tag.

These shoes fit well and compare to my Salomon XA Pro GTX shoes for size. They feel nice to walk in and good over long distances so far. I believe they will be a good long term shoe
