Bold Expressions of an Icon: the Latest Speedcross Campaign Featuring Ama Lou
British singer-songwriter Ama Lou is famous for her unique blending of genres, captivating lyrics and distinctive style. As an ambassador for Salomon Sportstyle, Ama was photographed for the Speedcross campaign at place she had a special bond with, a quiet ranch in Malibu. She fell in love with its calming, simplistic atmosphere after spending time there in 2020.

Being in the mountains with breathtaking views, living simply and exercising horses meant she could simply exist. “If you fully relax into it, you soon recognise the sound of the environment conversing around you. You become part of the conversation, the landscape, part of the ecosystem in all its complexity and vastness. As I said before, it is magical.”
When looking for inspiration for her music she didn’t have to look far. Ama said she wrote her last album all while visiting the ranch, and her song Tokyo Cowboy was heavily influenced by being in its calming environment.
Exploring the natural space around her was a big part of her inspiration. Wearing Salomon’s Speedcross 3, she was able to scale the surrounding terrain to get deep into nature. Her favorite part? “Speedcross 3 are comfortable and chic, they are actually functional and go with everything! I’m wearing them on the ranch now, climbing up these hills but I’m about to go back to the city and start my day and feel absolutely no need to change!”
