Comfortable, versatile, high mileage shoe

Uses: About 20km so far, on tarmac and formed trails and singletrack. Steady runs up to 10km and some faster intervals. Things I like: - Very comfortable upper. Always able to get an excellent lockdown with the quicklaces, and the tongue and the heel are both soft and squishy, ensuring no irritation spots. And the width on this 'Wide' version is perfect, and doesn't feel any wider than my other shoes, like the NB 1080v12s. Just the right amount of room for my toes, and I think they would have been a bit squished in the normal width version. - Smooth, soft and gently springy ride. And fair amount of cushion on these ones, and has a medium soft feeling (definitely not marshmallowy). And the slight rocker on the sole makes you feel like you want to keep going. - Traction on damp ground. Lugs on these don't look huge, but there was no slippage running up some steep trails after a day of rain. - Good versatility. Super comfortable on long slow runs, but also doesn't feel too lethargic or heavy when picking up the pace for an interval or too. Almost as comfortable tarmac as on the trail too, probably due to the ample cushioning, good for when you need to bridge across to another trail. Point to consider: - Quicklace system is cool, including the lace 'garage' to stop the end flopping around as you run. However, after tightening with the cinch, the garage is mostly closed off by the top lace row! Seems like the trick is to put the end/pull of the laces looped into the back of the garage first, and then tighten, which keeps the pull in there, which is a tad more fiddly than cinch and go.

Delivery

Poor. Couldn’t check out without paying for delivery despite it clearly stating delivery included. Sent multiple email and no response. I spend 2k a year on running shoes. This is the first and last pair of Salomon I will buy

Brilliant, purchased for my partners wife feet and he’s incredibly impressed and a lot faster he tells me.

Not wide

Advertised a a 2E width shoe, however the internal gusset doesn’t actually allow for a broader foot.
