Boris Bidjan Saberi has unveiled his upcoming seasonal footwear offerings in collaboration with Salomon, showcasing dozens of pairs of hand-dyed technically-infused sneakers.

The SS20 footwear collection under the 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi line is comprised of the Bamba 1.X, Bamba 2 (Low, Mid, and High), Bamba 3, Bamba 4, Bamba 5, Bamba 6 and a slide silhouette. All of the styles on offer are available in dirty red, dirty grey, and light grey, while the Bamba 2, Bamba 5, and Bamba 6 will also come in an undyed version showcasing its original base color.

BBS has turned the 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi collection to something even more artistic, interpretive and experimental. Dyes are more haphazard and purposely unpolished than before, zips and technical fabrics have been used even more heavily, while the Bamba 1.X — the latest take on the original SpeedCross silhouette — elevates the distressed post-apocalyptic look even further with dye encompassing the entire silhouette.

Take a look at the entire 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi x Salomon SS20 collection in the gallery above and expect a release in the coming months.

Speedcross inspires confidence in all conditions

Making more sustainable footwear is no easy task. Footwear—of both the casual and sports performance variety—uses a multitude of materials that are not the most environmentally friendly. But just because making sustainable footwear isn’t easy doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing. In Salomon’s footwear department, a number of experts are busy working on sustainable footwear solutions for the future; some of which will be unveiled in the near future.

The Crossamphibian Swift 2 shoe, which arrived at retailers this summer, is the first Salomon footwear product made from recycled materials. Every pair of Crossamphibian Swift 2 shoes includes the equivalent of 1.75 plastic bottles, two ears of corn and discarded coffee grounds—all post-consumer.
